Not quite as good as I'd hoped, but I'm making some progress!

...Got a rejection tonight from someplace I'd really love to publish, though; I'm telling myself all the stuff you're supposed to tell yourself (it's not personal, it just wasn't right for them this time, have some chocolate and revise, etc etc) but it's still a downer moment.

Forward progress is good!

Rejections never stopped being a downer moment for me, so I sympathize. I tried to remind myself that getting rejections meant I was writing things and submitting them, which is progress in itself.
