If you live in the US, please vote today.
...And more selfishly, if you live in Washington State, please vote to approve Ref. 74.
(The church up the street from my apartment has an electronic message sign that currently reads, "We affirm the dignity and the rights of all people. Marriage, however, should not be redefined." Gotta say, I like the first sentence a lot better than the second.)

The town I'm living in right now leans very conservatively. I was very angry a few months ago when there were Ref 74 petitioners at my post office, but felt a little better yesterday when there were a group of people with signs asking for it to be approved down at one of the major intersections.
On the bright side? In 3 weeks, we'll be living in the greater Seattle area again. I think it's going to give my conservative father fits, but he can continue to hole up in his room and listen to his Fox News and pretend he doesn't live in a place that isn't 99% middle class straight white people :)

...The church at my bus stop on the way home from work, in happier news, has had their sign reading "Equality is no threat to Christian marriage" for the last two weeks. <3 <3 for them.
